I'm running in honor of Anne Block
I decided to do this run after my good friend anne came in after radiation to fight her cancer. She is such and amazing person I wanted her to know that she is loved.
So as many of would have guessed I am doing this not only because I have always wanted to run around, Wilshire semi naked (BEEN THERE, DONE THAT!), but because it is a chance
to get out there and be active in the fight against prostate, testicular, colon, ovarian,
rectal, and uterine cancer, among others.
We have been touched by cancer in many ways ... a sister, brother, father, cousin, a friend, a co worker ... so why not do our share, right?
As these cancers (prostate, testicular, colon, ovarian, rectal, among others) are often kept hidden as taboo, participants in the Underwear Affair have the opportunity to get cheeky and personally make a difference by supporting critical research right here in Los Angeles at The City of Hope.
I know the economy's really bad ... you've just downgraded your summer wardrobe from Hermes to Gucci ... so I understand if you can't do much ...
but TRY ...
Please any amount will help fight this terrible disease.
